titles dont save correctly

Post by starstrike »

when i add titles to my videos (just text that i write into it), while working on them, they appear fine, but when i go and render the video, then play it back, all the titles shift to the left too much. I've never had this problem before, it only started happening when i upgraded the trial version to the retail.

Whats up with this, how can i get it to save correctly?

User manual page 103.
Check your alignment settings (left, Centre, right)

Don't give up Starstrike, I have experienced the same problem. I never did figure out what caused it, but only shifted titles to compensate. I also never reported it to this forum to avoid the "Read the manual" response.

no matter how i have the alignment, or settings, when i go and render it, it shifts to the left, i cant figure out how to get it to work right. Although im doing what pkalen said, just have it shifted to the right more while working on it commpensate. But still, im trying to get it precise and its a pain in the butt.

Contrary to what pkalen has put, the best answers usually start in the manual, often you cannot find the part you are looking for yourself, but if someone points you to a certain page....

You haven't told us which version of Video Studio you now have installed.
How did you install the retail version?

The Forum recommends that you uninstall the trial version first as it has been found that simply upgrading the trial version causes many problems.

Can you tell us the properties of your captured video and your project properties, please. It is possible, for example, that you have a 4:3 video and have inadvertently chosen a 16:9 format, so that a title which is centred in a 16:9 video would be to one side in a 4:3 one... :?:
