MSP7 Image Overlay Problems

I've created an image with a transparent background in Photoshop. I am attempting to overlay the image over the Va track, in an effort to dance the image through scenes in that track via a moving path option. The image dances, but the once transparent background is no longer transparent.

I cannot figure out how to overlay the image with just the image and not a matting background. There always seems to be the matting tagging along with the image. Is there a way to get rid of the background surrounding the image from the overlay?

Providing the image is a TGA with alpha channel (you can create these with PS): Insert on the timeline, right click and select overlay options, in the second drop down box on the left select alpha channel. There's other options too if you can't create TGA's but TGA with alpha channel is the best.
