Just as i think i am finally getting somewhere with this program I have another problem - I have joined a slideshow to a video. I now want to add background music that plays all the way through. However, the music plays fine throughout the video, and then as the slideshow starts, the music starts playing again from the beginning while simultaneously continuing to play as it was - i.e. the song is playing at two different stages at the same time?!?!
How do I stoip it from coming in with the start of the slideshow?

It sounds like you have background music in the slideshow
and added music to the slideshow & the video together and they
are clashing.
Not exactly sure of your working procedure (not enough details) of
how you created the slideshow with music and how you combined
the slideshow to the video and how you added music to the video/slideshow combination.
If you combined both the slideshow & the video together and the
slideshow contains audio you can use the editor to mute the
original audio track that's in the slideshow.
