Whenever I drag the Normalize filter to an audio clip (DV Type 1), Video Editor freezes up and then Windows displays an error message for veditor.exe and creates a huge error log, appcompat.txt. Oddly enough, as soon as I restart from a crash, I can apply the Normalize filter without a problem. I can duplicate his behavior every time. This problem never occurred in MSP 6.5. This is my only problem using MSP 7 SP2.
My NLE system:
Pentium 4 2.8 w/HT
1GB DDR400 memory
Foxconn Intel 865 motherboard w/integrated VIA FireWire port
dual SATA hard drives
Nvidia FX5200 dual-head video w/128MB
Thanks,
T.J.
Video Editor 7 SP2 crashing with Normalize audio filter
Audio Filters cause "CRASH"
Same problem here!
I try to apply an audio filter from the "Right Click" Menu. If I click on normalize or some others and then use "ADD" ....... CRASH!!!
If I double click on a Filter it then adds it OK, sometimes! If I single click and then click options first and then go back and insert the audio filer it seems to work.
Very Pernickety!
Another problem which may be related ... WHO KNOWS? When I start Video Editor I get a crash while audio DX is loading! I had to disable this in the .INI file.
[DXAudMgr]
DisableDXAudio=1
