Image size problem

Photo Impact 8.02

Static Image or Album

When I look at an image it only fills ¾ of the screen.

When I have a Slide Show same applies. Under View – Slide Show I Checked “Resize Large Images to fit screen”. If unchecked image becomes very large so that only some of it is seen on screen.

I have a Wide screen Laptop!!!

When I look at my images via Windows Explorer, Preview the images are far bigger so they cannot get onto the screen!!!

Is there a way to get a larger image?

Thank you for any help you can give.

Not quite sure what you mean when you say
When I look at an image it only fills ¾ of the screen.
.

Can you post a screenshot? Does your image not fill the screen vertically, horizontally or both? What are your image dimensions in pixels?

Thank you, Heinz-oz, for your interest.

My laptop's screen size is 13" X 8 1/8" but my photos only show up 8 1/8" x 6 1/8" with all black surrounding it.

Hope this helps,

Which of the modules do you use when this occours? PI itself (open the image in the editor) or in the Picture Viewer?

In Viewer, if you select 'Full Screen' and 'Fit to Screen', the image should fill almost the entire screen.

Thanks, Heinz-oz, for continued interest.

In Photo Impact a horozontal image shows 8 ½ “ x 6 3/8“ (“fit in window checked” or “unchecked”
“Full screen” shows image same size but with a wide border round it)
In Photo Impact a vertical shows 4 ¾ “ x 6 3/8“

In Photo Album I have “resize large images to fit screen” checked.
Vertical photos however show as 6” x 8 1/8” (full height of screen)!
If I uncheck “resize large images to fit screen” the images shows up so large only ¼ of it can be seen.

Still stuck

Now I'm stumped too. Can you post a screen shot of your image display?

Did you use the Ulead Viewer or did you open the image in PI editor?
