Can capture with VS7 but not VS9
I have been using Videostudio 7 with no problems for 2 years now. Then I upgraded to VS9 and have found all it's functions to be fantastic for videos and potographs that I already have in my computor. The problem lies in capturing. It does not recognse my device (Sony digital microV handycam) which I have been using with VS7 in the past. I uninstalled VS9 and reinstalled VS7 and voila caturing is fine. I then reinstalled VS9 and again I get the message "...no device driver or no device...". With the exact same set up I reinstalled VS7 and again perfect caturing. Confused....

That is possibly because VS7 was detecting your camera and its type automatically. I would have thought VS9 would also do so, but there are some other differences between VS9 and its predecessors. Anyway, in VS9, click on Tools > Change Capture Plug-in, and then select 'MICROMV MPEG Capture Plug-In'.
