Dears,
I have made a dvd with movie factory V3 and V2.
1) I have a great difference in working time. (3) is much slower than (2)
2)With (3) i have a jerkely flikkering picture ( slow) and not with (2)
I used premiere 6.5 and pro to make the mpeg file ( i have done it with both programms and both with same movie.
Every time i have the problem with version 3 flikkering of the picture
Is there someone who have a solution or the same problem.

Similar problem here I think
Hi Geert,
I discovered something similar today except that the flickering that I get is when the created DVD is played on a DVD player through a TV. Played on the PC all seems fine. The flicker I get is worst of all when there is on screen movement and reminds me bit of the "mouse tails" that you can have on the PC monitor.
Like you, I hope someone has some ideas.

Flickering movies
I found (through using the trial version of 3) that the default settings created a flicker that I didn't get in version 2. It relates to the field order setting. I also found that the automatic setting which is supposed to choose the best field order did NOT produce a smooth video for me. It is especially confusing because ver 2 calls it something different from version 2. A & B in one, upper & lower in the other. Look to see what field order is in effect for the flickering video and change it to the opposite and give it a try. It is an advanced setting in the MPG setting page. I had to experiement before getting smooth video on the tv. (However, when it is smooth on the tv, it may not be on the computer.) While I haven't purchased ver 3 yet, I find version 2 makes some of the smoothest videos of any program I have tried. I tried Roxio's ver 7 and returned it because the videos were so jerky compared to ULeads, and I could find no way to change the setting. Pinnacle makes a smooth video, but it takes HOURS longer than ULead to render the video...almost 6 hours for a 90 min video.
