Are there any additional transitions or filters that can be downloaded and added to Videostudio 9? I'm surprised not more filters were added in this version but I am impressed with the transitions. Too bad creating a disk is still a little iffy. After 15 hours I gave up trying to burn a dvd, oh well.
Anyway, I'm just looking for more add ons if possible. I still have version 8 on my computer as well. If there any ad on's for either version can somebody point me in the right direction?

How many filters do you see in the library.
VS 8 I see 39.
VS 9 I see 45.
Have you downloaded the extra contents for VS 9 via the smart download.
Search the internet for ‘Burger Transitions’
You will find additional transitions and a filters.
15 hours is far to long to burn a dvd.
Either your pc is very very slow or you are using the wrong procedure/settings.
Fill in your pc system config via your profile.
Read the top post re recommended procedure and tutorials.

Thanks for your help, I think I already can see why it took so long. I usually use the timeline and click "Share" "Create Disk" and then make a menu that way. Usually it works but not with compilations I make that go anything over 2 hours. So with...
(1) Always Create a Video File for your project before attempting to burn a DVD,
(2) Never try to burn a DVD with anything in the timeline display,
I rarely do. Reason being is when I make a video file first, the picture isn't always as clear. That's why I rather do it that way but apparently that's why it took 15 hours before it froze up and it was the first project in 9.
I'm going to check out those Burger Transitions. I think 9 has more than 45 but I don't know for sure, I haven't counted them.

I just installed it normally and was curious if there were anymore effects available elsewhere outside of the one's it mentions on the disk.
I can't copy/paste my system info but I am running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (I think that's why I no longer can capture with Video Studio, that's another issue but I know my capture device isn't compatible but will capture with DVD MovieFactory 2)
