This is too bad it doesn't work in Win 7..... I can't justify the purchase of Newblue Video FX for adding simple timeclock to a video track. I just tried it for the heck of it in VS X3 and X4 and though I put FX in the correct folder for each program, neither show the filter.

Yes but I was assuming that as I am running WIN 7 64 bit I should consider myself lucky that it's showing at all in VS9.

Are you referring to the Robotiq time-clock or New Blue's? Well I guess that in either case, yes real lucky..
I couldn't get the Robotiq to run on Vista at all.

Robotiq Timecode on Vista/Win7/Win8 (?) SOLVED!
Reviving an old thread with new info... Robotiq timecode was a stand-by for me. This procedure has been tested in Win7, VS Pro X5.
Per the short text file in timecode.zip, the author states that the plugin will create a new Robotiq group and appear there. This group creation apparently required administrative-level privs, and only occurs when the plugin is first initialized. If you follow the steps below you should be able to get the plugin to run as I did on my Win7 box.
1. Shut down VideoStudio.
2. If you have the plugin already in the program files (or x86 if you're 64-bit)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 (6, 7 may work?)\vft_plug directory, delete it.
3. Launch VideoStudio normally, so it notes the plugin is gone and deregisters it.
4. Close VideoStudio again.
5. Right-click on the shortcut for VideoStudio, and select Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab. Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Check "Run this program as administrator". Click on OK.
6. Copy timecode.vft back into the vft_plug directory.
7. Run VideoStudio with the modified shortcut. It will ask you if it's okay to run it as elevated privs, so click OK.
8. Robotiq Timecode should now be able to perform it's registration and appear in the filter list.
9. Close VideoStudio again.
10. Right-click on the shortcut for VideoStudio, and select Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab. UNcheck "Run this program in compatibility mode for:". UNcheck "Run this program as administrator". Click on OK.
You're done! Since it only needs the privs to install/create it's own group, it runs just fine and works as it used to.
Enjoy.
