Hi Wilhiho,
You are doing it according to the recommendations. The Recommended Procedures were actually written for an earier version, however they still work for the current version.
The NTSC DVD option is not present on that dialog box. However when you go to Share->Create Video-> you will see a template NTSC DVD.
Regards

There are various pre-defined project properties NTSC-DVD is one of them. You can also make your own in which case you alter the settings on the 3 tabs you mentioned.
Compression is a matter of choosing a certain codec.
NTSC-DVD is one of the already pre-defined project settings and shouldn't need alteration unless you have a need to change the bit rate.

Hi
When you say you are capturing to Avi is that DV-Avi.
Are you using a Firewire to capture your video, selecting DV format from the capture screen should be the option not Avi.
When capturing Dv-Avi via Firewire the footage on your camcorder is copied to video studio. No re-coding takes place. What you have in your camera is what you get, no losses.
The only capture setting option you have is the Dv type One or Two.
Use Dv-Type 1
Typically Dv-Avi capture properties from my Panasonic camcorder I see:-
PAL (25 fps)
Microsoft AVI files
24 Bits, 720 x 576, 16:9, 25 fps
Lower Field First
DV Video Encoder -- type 1
DV Audio -- PAL, 48.000 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo
DV-Avi via firewire is the best form of capture.
If on the other hand if you are capturing to Avi then the footage is re-coded during capture.
You have to set the capture properties via the ‘options cogwheel’.
After pressing edit I see the same three tabs, under the Avi tab is a compression box this should show the compressor used during capture.
What are your capture and project properties.?
Trevor
