I am very disapointed with the service from Ulead I can not get an answer from them I have tried for 3 weeks.
I have Ulead Cool 3D Studio SE created 18th feb 2004 serial number I bought my computer from an authorised dealer the deal included the variuos programmes I wanted.
on the 13th January I looked on to the Ulead site and decided I should buy the latest version I was just about to do so when I saw the availability of a update. I went for the update and the extended download 94.49 Euros
invoice number order number . Serial numbers etc removed just in case

When I down loaded it I got the following message "This upgrade will require a previous istalled"
p.s 1.0se
3.5
3.0
3.0SE
2.5
2.5 SE
SO IT WOULD NOT DOWN LOAD

Can I get an answer NO.

I would be happy to down load the complete new version but why will the company not speak to me. I have paid out 94.49 Euros for nothing

A veryun happy customer is the result I suppose not important to a group of your size.

Tony,
You said 'SO IT WOULD NOT DOWNLOAD', I assume you meant install?
What happens when it gives you this message? Normally the installer will prompt you to point to the installation disk of the product from which you are upgrading. You mentioned your purchase deal included the programs you wanted, were you also supplied with the installation disks?

Greg

Tony

Can I suggest you erase your serial number and invoice details before the pirates all write it down

And does the installer not prompt you to point to that install disk? It's a while since I last did this, so I cannot remember the exact procedure. Does it not do this? What happens in the install procedure after it has given you that message?

I too am a VERY UNHAPPY user. I have tried for 5weeks to get a responce for tec. suport and custermer sevice. Very quick sevice when you go to purchase the product but nothing after youv'e paid your money!! I 've sent in 11 requests for help( I am correctly regesterd and set to accept there mail) I have also made 3 phone calls, after waiting for over 1hour I gave up. One time they left me as number 1 in line for almost 1.5 hours only to find, when I phoned on an other line, that hey had closed for the day. Good job I have two lines otherwise I'd still be holding!!!!! A good product but this is the worse support I,ve ever had. Shame on you Ulead. Peter Smith

Peter, Tony

Neither of you have answered the question posed by Greg. How on earth do you expect anyone here to try to assist you if you do not answer simple questions asked by other users who are trying to help you.

I would have thought that anyone would have interpreted my response to be as support for this poor fellows frustration in NOT receiving any response from ULEAD not as an answer to his question. And where was your Tec. answer to his enquirey? !! Peter Smith

Tony, It's most likly that Ulead have sent you the wrong Patch for your vertion, I had this problem with plug-ins for my cool production studio. When I finally got a hold of Ulead they knew all about there error on there site (not that they had done anything about it). Peter Smith

Hello all,

I am suffering the same fault, I just purchased the 3.5 version upgrade for my previous COOL 3D Production Studio 1.01 version 3. When I run the upgrade it advises me that it cannot find any previous version. When requested I have pointed it to the installed directory of version 3 but it wont accept it. I have even pointed it to the directory where I have the original installation file I downloaded from Ulead when originally purchased, did not like that either. So, at the moment I have an upgrade which I cannot use. I have just sent a tech request to Ulead but reading above it would seem I could be waiting a while for a reply.

Thankyou

Lloyd

OK I was asked for my TEC answer here it is.
You are "upgrading the wrong way"
The version numbers are confusing.
You UPGRADE from cool 3D 3.5 to Production Studio 1
NOT the other way round.

http://www.ulead.co.uk/c3ds/compare.htm

Upgrade to COOL 3D 3.5
From
Ulead COOL 3D 2.0, Full/Upgrade/SE
Ulead COOL 3D 2.5 Full/Upgrade/SE
Ulead COOL 3D 3.0 Full/Upgrade/SE
WebRazor Pro 1.x and 2.x
http://www.ulead.co.uk/store/cool3d/upgrade.htm

Upgrade to Production Studio
From
Ulead COOL 3D 2.5 Full/Upgrade/SE
Ulead COOL 3D 3.0 Full/Upgrade/SE
Ulead COOL 3D 3.5 Full/Upgrade/SE
Ulead COOL 3D?Production Studio SE
http://www.ulead.co.uk/store/c3ds/upgrade.htm
