This thread has been a good read. Thanks to all who contributed to it over time.

I use another software to author my DVDs before burning. Old habits, ya know?

I render my files in VS using the NTSC DVD 4:3 choice and every time I bring it into my authoring software I get an "Open GOPs" error message. No big deal, it fixes it. It is a bit annoying though since I didn't even know what a GOP was :o . . . until I read this thread. :wink:

My question is this; When checking the advanced MPEG settings as described (perfectly) in this thread, I see that my GOP setting is 0. What should I change it to in order to not get the open GOPs message in the other software?
