I saw a message on this board with this error message, but I have a different code. Has anyone seen this one? I get this error message, followed by Unspecified error Report ID: 0x800411ad(4525).
I am using a pioneer DVR-A08XLA 16X DVD writer, with an IEEE 1394 (I think) firewire connection (no capture card).
I used Windows MovieMaker to acquire the video (as avi) from my camcorder.
First I imported one avi and sliced out a few seconds of video, and did a test burn. That seemed to work well (would play on my computer in both Ulead and Windows Media Player...but not on my older DVD player).
I then imported each avi file into DVD MovieFactory 3.5, and used Create Video/SlideShow Disc to edit the video into chapters, with transitions, but no music. Added some slideshows from jpegs, also with transitions but no music. Selected a menu background and created titles.
However, trying to burn the DVD gets the two error messages shown above.
I read on this board that putting slideshows with transitions can be a problem. So I went back and deleted all the slideshows from this project. Still got the same error messages.
Downloaded and installed the 16x DVD Burning Pack patch and the Ulead Data-Add 2.0 patch. Still got the same error messages, both with and without the slideshows in the project.
Can anyone provide any clues?

I Share your frustration....
I get this message and all of the other ones in this forum.
It looks like you can only put straight slideshows (no transitions, music etc) en straight videoclips in.
Once you start modifying from within Moviefactory you can wait for an error!
I have requested my money back since I have not been able to create one proper DVD without having to fidlle!
