Capturing video with videostudio 9 and DVD Moviefactory 4

Post by donzebe »

I have tried capturing video with videostudio 9 and moviefactory 4 but fail. Eact time i click on the capture video, I get a mute signal and
a small screen which reads "CHANGE FIELD ORDER
PROCESSING........
and it metered up to 50% and stop, then the program freeze and stop responding.
Is my videostudio soft ware missing something or i am not doing something right.
My Computer is a pentium D dual core processor 820
running Wxp media center, 250HD and IG memory.

Is there anyone out there who knows what's going wrong or how to
fix the problem?

Thanks

Yes, but what are you capturing from??? Generally, if you are capturing from a digital source, you must capture Lower Field First (though there are one or two exceptions). And if you are capturing from an analogue source, it is normally Upper Field First (though again there are some exceptions). Normally, Video Studio will auto-detect which Field Order is appropriate, but occasionally it makes mistakes.

Windows XP Media Centre isn't actually a supported Operating system but other users have reported they are using it OK.

Suggest a read of the following post.
