Failed to begin VIO playback...Report ID: 0x8004095(2394)

Post by phpbbadmin »

Failed to begin VIO playback instance in the import DVD preview module.
Report ID: 0x8004095a(2394)

For those who are receiving the error message above when Importing a DVD video disc, please download link file:

ftp://ftp.ulead.com/pub/Updates/DVDMovi ... lpatch.exe

Ulead has determined that the problem is caused by some TBYB files that are left over in the system when you upgrade or purchase to full version.

Before you install this patch, make sure you uninstall MovieFactory 4 (TBYB or FULL) in your computer for this patch to work.

Once you run the uninstaller, restart the system then reinstall the FULL Version MovieFactory 4.

Thank you

I didn't even install the trial version. I have the full disc creator version 4.0 which I downloaded, and on top of that I installed the latest patch supplied, even then I get the same message. There are other issues too..
1) When I try to reduce the size of the video manually it does not decrease the size of the file, the only way that works to reduce the size is shrink to fit button at the end.
2) My system crashes every time I try to import the disc to shrink to a smaller size
3) The system crashes audio-video multiplexing stage of the rendering.

Is there a similar problem going from 4 to 5. If so, how do I find these files and delete them?

Most likely, I've got a similar message "Failed to open DVD: Report ID: 0x800408ff(2303)" message on the version 5 trial version". See my other posting for details.
