Red line in Timeline View?

Post by arkivmusic »

I'm pretty new to the software and have been trying some things. I was playing with a bunch of clips, adding audio, transistions...then all of a sudden I get a red line in my timeline that stops about halfway through my project, and now that's decided that THAT's the stopping point for my project? Is there a simple explanation for this?

When you use "Smart Render" the video remains unchanged except where YOU have made changes such as inserted transitions, sound effects or video filters. The red line indicates those areas that WILL be re-rendered.

I believe you have inadvertantly set the Project Preview Range. To reset to the full length of your project either drag the right Trim Handle to the end of your project or move the cursor to the end of the project and click the Mark Out button.
