I am about to edit a 1 hour video and had questions about the chapter feature in DVD Workshop 2.
I understand that the chapters are starting places to allow the user to access a particular scene immediately. My question is if the video is one uncut can I add chapters to different scenes and will it return to the main menu after the chapter has been played or will it continue to play the rest of the video from that point until the end?
Will I have to create short video files to have the function? In other words should i cut my long video up into smaller files that will become each chapter?
But then if the user wants to watch the entire video at one sitting how can that be done? I used to use a program that allowed me to create start chapter points and return points and then create a title to play the entire dvd ignoring the return points.

It will continue to play until the end of the video.
To do what you wanted, you can have multiple *smaller* titles, and then create a "Play All" button that will play all of the smaller titles. There will be a small stutter between titles, but if you fade to/from black for each little title, it should be transparent to the viewer.
