I am using UVS 8. Pinnacle Studio 8 has a handy little box on its capture screen, that indicates the number of "Frames Dropped" during capture. Does the UVS capture screen indicate this anywhere?
I know the "information" display at the bottom of the UVS capture screen indicates a number of things, including, I think, the number of scenes detected, etc. But I just don't remember whether "Frames Dropped" is indicated.
Also do you know of a freeware DV capture utility that shows the number of Frames Dropped? WinDV does, but I don't think it has any capability to control the camcorder. Not sure about "Stoik Video Capturer" or "DVApp".
Thanks for your help on this.
does capture screen show number of frames dropped?

Hi
You have to activate the Drop Frame counter for VS 8.
It then shows in the info panel lower right in the 'capture' page.
Go to

Ulead Systems
Video Studio 8
Open
UVS.INI
INFORMATION
Change Show Drop Frame Counter from =0 to =1
Save the changes.
