Why would you want to go through that incredibly detailed and extensive process? (There is not, as far as I am aware, any batch method of simply cutting out frame 2,4,6 etc of an entire sequence -- it would have to be done manually.) Perhaps you don't realise there is a speed control in VS9 -- on the Edit page, with at least one clip in the timeline. About a quarter the way down the left hand side of screen, you will see 'Playback Speed' which allows you slow down or quicken up your video...

About 3 years now. I started my video editing career with Video Wave III, but thought it a little simplistic, so bought VS7 and haven't looked back since. I first started on this Board's predecessor simply to get tips and pointers, since I was among the lucky ones who didn't seem to have any problems with the program itself -- simply with how to use it to best advantage.Similarly used VS8 with no problems, though that version seems to have been incredibly buggy for many people. Now using the extremely good VS9. And I guess I have stayed on to try to offer some help based on the experience I have developed over the subsequent 3 years. Guess it's much the same for some of the other 'old timers' on the Board too...
