which format do i choose for burning a DVD

I have the trial version of this and was wondering when i am capturing video from my mini-DV camera. which Format should i chose I plan to burn my project to a DVD when i chose DV it saves it as a AVI file, is this correct????

Correct, when you select DV for capture from your miniDV camcorder it will capture dv .avi -- which will make editing much easier (note: dv .avi takes about 13gb per hour).

After all your edits are done, and you want to burn to DVD, you can select a dvd template in the Authoring section.

I'd recommend you have a read of the top post in this forum (Recommended Procedures...)
