first message

second message
failed to initialise the capture driver. another program may be using it or the file has been moved.
cannot find specified interface.

Hi MJ,
is this something that's only started happening recently? I see that you joined back in November last year. A bit more info will be required, like what version of VS you are using.
You can search for "failed to build a preview graph" in previous posts, since I know that's come up quite a few times before. My fist suggestion would be to try reinstalling or repairing your VS installation with the install CD's, if you are fortunate enough to have a boxed retail version.
Failing that, have you installed any other software recently? It sounds like VS is not able to find the appropriate capture driver.
Do look in the XP Event Viewer log files - there's a chance it might lead to the cause, and it's an easy thing to do.
Send thru some more info anyway, and good luck!
