DVD Movie Factory 4 crashes

I have a problem.

When I start DMF, I select "Create Video DVD" and then "DVD-Video or DVD+VR". A new project opens and I then try to add video files. When I choose a file, it looks like it is being added to the project but then DMF crashes and I am taken back to the "launcher" screen again.

It doesn't matter what type of file I try to add, the same thing happens with all of them.

I did have DMF working just last week and actually managed to burn a few DVDs but now for some reason can't even add video files to a new project.

Has anyone got any ideas?

---> By the way, I have installed the update and the problem is still there.

I do not have the exact problem you mentioned but DMF crashes on my system when I click the CLOSE.

One thing that caught my attention is that this did not happen until I installed the latest update.

I was considering uninstalling DMF & re-install w/o the update.

I am realising after looking through many posts online and spending countless hours attempting to create projects with DMF, that this software is extremely buggy. I think a lot of the problems that users have will never be fixed and Ulead is not even going to try to help.

I have written to their support asking for help many times and I have never heard back.

I am close to giving up with Ulead and switching to Pinnacle or Adobe.
