I WANT MY LINK....

Post by petgabor »

to my serial-number-only MSP8!!!

Here is my story:

Bought MSP8 and downloaded the file:
msp8_E.exe (size: 134 911 071)

Tried to install the hotfix - No Ulead MSP8 on my system!
Tried to install the SC - MSP8 was unable to start with U32CFg error Ulead.dat problem.

Contacted ulead. Waited days. Got a reply from support@ulead.com to upload my billing to a given ftp.

Uploaded: case #14215.pdf and tried to notify them.

My email came back with this message:

<support@ulead.com>: host ulead.com.mail5.psmtp.com[64.18.5.10] said: 550 No such user - psmtp (in reply to RCPT TO command)

It was 10 days ago still no answer and I am stuck with my MSP8 not running.

Today I noticed the new hotfix and SC. Uninstalled my software, installed and I have the same ERRORS all over again. I NEED that serial-number-only version, except that no one is there to send me the link....

PLEASE A KIND SOUL SOMEHOW NOTIFY SUPPORT THAT I HAVE UPLOADED THE DOCUMENT #14215 AND WANT MY WORKING VERSION ASAP!!!!

Gabor. you're not alone. I've had the same thing happening with Video Studio 9. Except that I've sent the email 3 times and repeated my request using the online Tech support and Customer support forms twice. I also changed the email address to support@ulead.com.tw which didn't bomb, but still no answer...
No reaction, except for an automated mail from Tech support giving me a 5% off discount code for my next purchase.
I'm thinking about contacting my credit card company to revert the charges. That should wake them up.
Any other ideas are highly appreciated.

new download

No he is not alone!
After waiting several days I was given a download site. Even with DSL it took me 4 hours to down MSP8.
The new installation still will not permit me to install the designer or hot fixes. However, the program is running OK—so far.

This is where I sent my billing information and request for a download link to the serial number activated MSP8.

Hyde Wu [hydewu@ulead.com.tw]

There is supposed to be a newer patch and smart composer shortly.

Well, I reinstalled MP8 again, (the one I downloaded from Wu) and I'll be hornswageled, I could load the patches and composer designer. Miracles never cease.
Is there a tutorial on how to use designer?
