Ulead seems to be causing Ad Aware to hang

I have Photo Express 4.0SE. My OS is Windows XP with SP2.

I can never complete a scan of the Ad Aware SE program because of some sort of a conflict with Ulead. The Ad Aware scan goes fine until it starts to scan the Ulead program files, at which time it just hangs and never completes.

The first Ulead file it encounters a problem with is Calendar. I finally tried to delete that, and run the Ad Aware program again, but that only served to bring it to another Ulead that it hung up with.

I put the calendar back, but am looking for an answer as to what might be the problem.

By the time Ad Aware comes to Ulead it has already scanned over a 100,000 other files without hanging, so I'm guessing that the problem is Ulead.

My copy of Adaware resides quite hapilly with my Ulead programs.
When Adaware has finished its scan you have an option to mark selected entries and place them into an ignore list. Never had to use the ignore list though for anything appertaining to Ulead.

The problem is Ad Aware doesn't complete. It gets to that point where it looks as if it is scanning Ulead and goes no further. I have left it there for over a half hour but it's indicating it's still scanning Ulead. I have to cancel/abort even though it has found some critical problem, which I can't remove becausing I'm aborting the program.
