No AC3 audio option MSP 7.30.1003

Post by patc »

Hi,

I was looking at some docs on the MSP 7 and noticed it mentioning AC3 or dolby as an option under the video save audio settings.

I do not have that option onmine. Is there a download somwhere I missed? I looked on Uleads website and couldn't find anything for that functionality.

Any assist would be great.

IIRC the Dolby option only appears if you're exporting using the NTSC or PAL DVD profile, not the generic MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 profiles.

This sounds right to me -- I uninstalled MSP7.x, but I believe when you selected the mpeg-x profiles, you didn't get the AC3 option (as Terry said).

when I am creating a project from my captured video *(video properties below) and trying to match the project to it in Video Editor I am selecting NTSC-DVD profile and the capture video properties has Dolby Digital but I can not match it because my choices are only Mpeg and LPCM.

Even if I try and create a new profile, Dolby AC3 is not available on the list.

As for the patch, I did install everything up to version 730.1003 so I am going to try and uninstall and then reinstall service packs. Does it matter that the website that was given above is UK? I am in US.

Thanks
