Hello there to all all you.
I going crazy about the fact that I cannot burn as a DVD a divx.
I know there are several posts about this but I have tried them all with no success. In particular, I try to open an avi file to VS8 but he tells me the avi file is not accessible.

I'm a total beginner and don't know what to do for this.
Can someone tell me how to burn this divx to a normal DVD? Or can you tell me where to find a tutorial for this?

Bests

Michael,

See http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=9928 for a tutorial on how to use DivX to encode a movie. Aloth' it's for encoding into DivX it should work for you as well. Well, ....it should.

Hope this helps,
Ron

To burn the DVD from the DivX avi file you need to install DivX codec. There a divX create bundle available for download. Six months trial for the codec is free after that they charge 19.99 USD to reactivate the codec.
Once you install the DivX codec you can use any DVD authoring program such as Video studio, Nero, DVD movie factory etc to convert your divx formatted file to DVD.
DivX codec can be downloaded from:
http://www.divx.com/divx/create/download/index.php

For more information on DivX go to their official site : http://www.divx.com
