Suggestions and Improvements for the Next Generation of UVS

Post by digiman »

Hello @ All,

I'm a Newbie on this Board.
I'm using the latest Version of Ulead Video Studio Number 9 and can't expect the next Generation of Video-Editing with ULEAD. For i havent found a Thread with Suggestions i allow myself to open a new one where Desires of ULEAD-Users can be pinned with the Hope to get fulfilled soon by the Creative Intelligents of ULEAD.

First of All the Timeline:
I think it would be much more effective and productive to work with more than two Videotracks. Maybe five or six would be absolutely sufficient for a Consumer-Software like UVS imo.

Audio:
Work with Audio is nearly perfect. 9 of 10 Points for this Range. What lacks is a bigger Pool of Audio-Filters as given in Magix Video De Luxe, where you can simulate nearly every Audio-Situation from Phone-Call over Tube-Station up to Church-Hall. An Equalizer with own Presets would be fine.

Keyframe-Animation
The Keyframe-Positioning and Steering which is given on the Audio-Timeline and with the Filter-Adjustement should be integrated as well at the Video-Timeline in order to create own Visual Effects with individual Parameters such as Moving Objects flying into the Scenerie.

Color-Correction
It would be much easier and State of the Art, if Colors could be adjusted separately with a own Slider. A Vectorscope would be very helfpul to work accurately.

More ideas can be placed in this Thread.

Digiman,
There is a previous thread about this somewhere.
You may be interested in downloading the trial version of Media Studio Pro 8

digiman,

Did you know that VS9 can use VST audio plug-ins? There are plenty of free, and very good, audio filters out there. Do a Google for "VST audio filter". One site that has some good ones is http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/classic-series.php

Hi Ron,

had a look at the web site you posted, looks interesting but how do you incoporate these filters into VS9?

alanball,

Just copy the vst files into the following directory:

C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 9.0\aft_plug\VST\

The next time you launch VS you'll see them listed in your audio filters.

Also, if you'd like a some useful information on the existing filters in VS9, please see my tutorial at http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=9909

Hope this helps,
Ron G.

Ron,

I just downloaded those free audio filter plug-ins and they are AWESOME :!: For anyone who is a little dissatisfied with VS9s limited audio capabilities you must download these filters. They're free!

Thanks Ron!
