UsingAvermedia with VideoStudio7 and cannot..

Post by mtmanning »

I cannot get a clear picture importing video from VHS player thru this AverMedia device called UltraTV USB300. I get a very grained picture and it seems like it needs some sort of adjustment. I tried using all the different types of formats and still no luck.

Should fling this square shiny box in the fireplace and call it a day and go to Microcenter for newer gear?

Hey MT,

Don't go to flinging just yet... Give us a chance to work through it..

To start with please complete your System Information on your profile page. Then we are going to need yet more information to troubleshoot this.

What are your Capture Settings? Since you are trying to capture from a VHS (which is analog), then you should be capturing Upper Field First. For more information please read and follow the Recommend Procedures located in the sticky at the top of this forum.
I done a google search on the device and found that UVS9 and DVDMF comes bundled with it. Since you installed UVS have you downloaded and installed the updates? You can get them here:
