Selecting Frame Rate in Video Capture DVD-VR Mode

I have been having a problem getting the frame rate selection to allow for 29.97 fps vs 30 fps.

I want to try the DVD-VR capture with my Sony dvd-100 DVD-r disks. I set up the capture mode to DVD-VR and then select the capture template manager. I select NTSC-DVD drop frame 29.97 but when I select capture video the frame rate still shows 30fps.

Is there something I'm missing here?

Any help would be apreciated.

Are you importing from dvd, or are you connecting the camcorder to analog inputs to your computer?

If importing the mpeg from dvd, you won't be able to select the frame rate -- it will just import as it was recorded...

Thanks GW. I did try it and yes, the dvd-vr imported with 29.97 frame rate even though it said 30.
