INVERTED ( UPSIDE DOWN) VIDEO IN TIME LINE
I am trying out the Version 9 software
I have system XP
The last thing I did was render and creat a CD file of my project then shut down my computer
I returned and reloaded ULead software
All video clips in the library are OK but my project clips in the time line are all upside down !!
New Video capture is also upside down !!
HELP - what do I need to do to get them right side up ?
Thanks
Andy

Inverted video
Thanks guys - what I don't understand is why the previously correctly viewed video has without ( apparantly) any intervention now is only viewable up-side down.
I know there is the 90 deg rotation in the edit feature but it means I have to go one by one down an awful of of clips - Is there a general rotation control for the whole of the time line if so precisely where - Thanks

Hi Andy,
Unfortunately, I doubt that anybody has any idea why your clips are now inverted - you certainly shouldn't have to rotate them by 180 degrees to re-achieve the correct orientation! I don't recall anybody having any similar experience to this.
Since new captures exhibit the same problem then there must be some wierdness developed in your system - who knows what though?
Perhaps try another video editing package. Power Director 5 has a higher review rating (http://video-editing-software-review.toptenreviews.com/), than VS 9. You can download this editor for trial purposes as well and see whether the capture problem still exists.
Goodluck,
Peter

Hi Andy,
Where did you get your trial version of VS9?
I ask this because I have some other software that it intenionally does this if the software is not legit. I'm not saying that you knowingly got a hack version, but the source may be.
Anyway it definately appears to be a corrupted file. I'd go to Ulead's site and download another copy of the file before your 30 days expires. Do a complete, clean uninstall before installing the newer download.

Fixed it !!!
Unknown to me my son downloaded a DivX Codec Package supposedly to be able to run all kinds of video clips from the web .
This happened between shut down and start up As far as I was concerned the computer had not been modified !!
We unistalled that and the problem went away
I dont know who should know about this but if you do please pass this on it could cause unknown troubleshooting problems
Thanks for your attempts at help its good to have another couple of minds on the problem

Hi,
Do you realize that 90% of computer problems are caused by running
windows in "Administrator" mode?
If others use your machine set them up as seperate users and
change their rights to "Restricted User".
This restricts access to the operating system and limits their potential to do damage.
If you want them to have the same desktop as you then simply copy
your desktop to theirs under the users "Documents and Settings" folder.
Then only you can install software etc.
