Hi everyone.
I've recently finished a little film using VS9 and on computer it all looks great and works fine. Some clips that are in there are in slow motion.
It all works fine until I burn the whole thing to a DVD and watch it back on the telly.
Everything is okay except the slow motion clips are quite jerky and nowhere near as smooth as they were on the PC.
Has anyone had this specific problem and knows how to rectify it?
I don't know if this is any help but the project settings for my film are
MPEG files
24 Bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps
Lower Field First
(DVD-PAL), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)
If anyone can offer some advice, I'll be most grateful,
Thankyou and best wishes
Slow Motion Clips Are Jerky

Hi sonofjack,
welcome to the forum!
I used slow motion (about 25% as I recall) in a recent DVD without suffering from the jerkiness you describe. I wonder if it's caused by your DVD player, since it plays OK on your pc. You might try playing the DVD on another DVD player.
All your project properties look fine. As a long shot though, you could try re-burning the DVD using LPCM audio - some posters report glitches with dolby audio.
good luck!

Thanks 2Dogs for the swift reply.
Have just rewatched the film and actually not all the slow motion clips are as jerky as others so maybe I've slowed some down too much. Though they all look fine when I watch them back on the computer.
However, will try another DVD player and will take on board your advice re: the audio.
Thanks once again
