Burning DVD

I am unable to burn to a DVD-R. I get the error message" (OX8004145D) DVDR-DAD-SPTI-2A-02-05-30-05. Does the program require a DVD-V. I saw no such format at Comp USA.

Doing a search for '8004145D' brought up 6 results - you might try giving those a read.

I did look over one thread and the solution for one individual was to update the burner's firmware. You might check the manufacturer's website to see if there is a firmware update available.

The media manufacturer may not be compatible with your burner.
Like stated above, try a firmware update. Updates are usually to
recognize the newer media being sold.
Buying over 4X rated media isn't necessary for video because you
really don't want to burn above 4X anyway.
Also, try setting the burning speed to either 2X or 4X.
