I recently burnt a DVD with chapter selection menus using VS9. I used 30 seconds of motion thumbnail, but as i didnt want to use footage from the beginning of each chapter, i scrolled through until i got the footage that i wanted to show on the thumbnail. During the preview window when i went to burn the DVD the thumbnails appeared correctly, but when the completed DVD was played, the thumbnail footage was from the beginning of the chapter - not the footage i selected.
Is this a common problem for any other users?

You are not alone.
The process you described is the same on my version of video studio.
The motion menu appears to run from the beginning of the movie clip,
If I want to use a particular image/frame I have to disable the motion menu.
It is a shame that the motion does not start from the selected point, maybe a fix is required from ulead.
