When capturing from VHS and burning to DVD, a small section at the lower edge of the screen seems to be corrupted, similar to the old 'tracking' days of VHS. I play the source footage on a tv as it is being captured, and the display on the tv appears correctly, but the preview window in VS9, and the final DVD show the error. It seems to be like a tiny part of what is showing at the top of the screen is in place at the bottom of the screen.
Anyone have a similar problem, or offer possible solutions?
Cheers.

When you play your DVD on a stand-alone player connected to your TV, does the corrupted part show? Normally, it would not as it is outside the TV screen's 'safe area'.
It is, by the way, a perfectly usual artifact of capture from an analogue/VHS source. I get both that AND a very slight discoloration down the righ hand side of screen, about as wide as the bottom corruption. But I simply ignore both and burn them to DVD as is. Never see them the corrupt areas on playback on TV.
But if you want, you can use the cropping filter to slightly reduce the size of your original and cut-out the offending section.
