On the main menu I created for the DVD, I selected one of the canned audio backgrounds. During preview it played continuously as long as the main menu was being displayed. After burning the DVD, the background audio on main menu plays about 3 beats, stops, starts over, same pattern over and over. Audio background on sub chapter menu is normal.
How do I fix? Pretty frustrating when that's the only "defect" on the whole DVD after waiting 4 hours for it to burn (yes, I only have a 1.2G processor and 504MB RAM).
Thanks
Menu background music truncated

Here's one solution....
I followed jchunter's advice on how to avoid VS pitfalls and the audio problem is gone.

Same problem here....
I have re-installed VideoStudio 9 on my new machine running XP. Previously it was on a WinME system. Now my menu sound gets truncated after about 3 seconds and loops
What exactly did you do to fix it.

What I did ....
The specific steps that helped me were ...
Since I had re-installed VS9 afresh it had not been adjusted to use the Project settings that are the norm for my mpg files (from an Hauppauge PVR350).
So in my case ..
1) Load the mpg file into the timeline for editing, and have the Project switch to using these mpeg settings
2) Delete from the timeline.
3) Switch to Share / Create Disk and add my mpgs to the config. Make my menu including the music for the menu background.
4) Burn the disk... works fine now.
Don't ask why this is necessary, just do it !
Probably only need to do this once post my installation.
