Problem with converting motion menu

Anyone else having a problem and/or solution for DMF3 crashing during the motion menu conversion phase of dvd authoring? This is occuring with an MPEG captured using DMF3 and "do not convert compliant MPEG" checked. The MPEG is a video with three headings for the main menu and 23 chapters for the movie submenu. The crash occurs when the motion menu conversion is 60% complete. I have not had this problem making DVDs from MPEGs captured with ATI MMC.
