Installed trial VS9 but can't capture...

Post by newbie2006 »

I read a similar post below but I think my question is different. I have a Sony and I'm connected via firewire. When I try to capture, I get an error that no video capture driver is installed in this system or device is not connected.

I was using Pinnacle Studio 9 and capturing fine. Any ideas? Not off to a great start here.

Thanks!

Sorry, tyamada, but that other post was about NOT having firewire. In this case, he is using Firewire. But I am afraid he is going to have to give us more information about exactly what his system consists of, and the exact procedure he has been following in connecting his (presumably) digital video camera to the computer via Firewire -- not to mention what model that camera is, and what operating system he is using...

Ken:

I was wanting him to read all the posts in that section, specifically your post about firewire/iLink.

You gave a very good explaination on connectivity.
