Has anyone made the progression from VS9 to MS8?

VS9 is a nice program but lacking in audio tracks and a few other points.
VS9 was not too difficult to learn. I am wondering if the learning curve for MS8 is a big jump up or does it just look that way?
Cheers

I have had Media Studio Pro since version 4 and Video Studio since version 5. I usually use VS9 for most of my projects, however since HDV I have been using MSP8.

The interface of the two programs is totaly different and takes awhile to get used to. That doesn't include all the fetures that VS9 doesn't have.

The learning curve will not be too bad if you use the tutorials and the help files.

I recently tried the TBYB version of MSPro and I found my way around pretty well. It definitely has a different feel and that for me would take some getting used to (finding everything, getting used to new shortcuts, etc.). VS9 tries to guide you through the steps of editing video through the tabs at the top of the GUI. MediaStudio Pro doesn't, however, again everything is pretty easy to find. I recommend that you try the trial version. If you do however, read my recommendation on using trial versions of MSPro or VideoGraphics Lab at http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=10564. You've been warned! ;-)

Hope this helps,
Ron G.

P.S. I haven't bought it yet as I'm squeezing out every last drop from VS9. For example, recently I discovered a quick way to get a 3rd track. No, it doesn't involve rendering the video....I posted that tip in another topic.
