Video studio 9 TRYOUT: blackscreen when playing project

Hi there
I downloaded the trial version of video studio 9.
Everything looks fine except that I cannot preview my project. For example after mounting several videos, I can play every clip separetely but I cant preview the entire project: I see the first frame, a black window and the last frame...
any idea?

Hi thanks for your answer.
Im gonna update all this stuff.
actually my issue was because of the playback was set to Dual head device instead of preview window.
now everything's fine.
