Post by janiece11 »

It was so easy to make my slide show and add music , text and such to it, but when I got to end there is nowhere to click to burn it. I picked the create slideshow disk. I have tried it like 50 times and find no place to record it. After I finish making the slideshow all it has is close and nowhere to click record. Can someone please please help me.
Thank you

After you create the slideshow click OK to exit that slideshow creation.
Then your back to the timeline.
Clicking on NEXT will step you through the menu, preview and then
the last screen which is to burn the dvd or cd.

1. You must have "Record to Disc" checked ON and a dvd/cd in the drive.
2. Clicking on the options button if not greyed out allows you to
select a different burner.

IF the OUTPUT button is still greyed out and you can't select it that's
because you don't have a dvd or cd burner on the computer OR
you may have a dvd inserted into only a CD burner.
Can you burn DVD's or CD's. Maybe you only have a dvd/cd reader
in the computer and not a burner.

Whatever the case IF the program doesn't see a dvd or cd burner
in your computer then the OUTPUT icon will be greyed out.

To verify this click on the down arrow on the right side of the screen
and in the additional options click on "Create DVD Folders" or
"Create Disk Image File". After checking one of those on then the
"Output" icon should be activated.
(That allows you to burn to the harddisk).

Hope this helps,

maddrummer3301,
Thank you but it did not help, It does burn Data and music very easy. It also let me create a Video disk and the Burn button showed red so I could burn it. When I first click on make a slide show disk it then opens and lets me add photos and music. It does not have a drop down anywhere to pick a burner. When I finish adding my pics and such and click ok to go back to timeline the next is grayed out. SO that is my problem. It is a Pioneer burner and burns great. I just can not get the slide show to burn...
Thank you and I sure hope you or someone can help me.

If next is greyed-out, it would imply that the addition of slides has not been achieved correctly. Would not be an error related to burning. Do you end up with the slideshow shown as a thumbnail on the time-line?

Maybe if you give details of your process in adding images etc somebody would be able to help.

Make sure like JCC says the Slideshow is on the timeline.
In the Slideshow creation menu to exit after adding photos you must click OK to
bring the compilation back and into the timeline. (Not the "x" or cancel).

While on the timeline you should be able to click on the 1 icon that represents
the slideshow (highllight it). Then hit the > (play button) and preview the slideshow
in the preview window.

Can you do that? Preview the slideshow on the timeline?

Sounds like you are using the MF3-SE edition that comes with the Pioneer burner.
If your doing everything correct as above then either the content your using
is a problem (either the pictures or the sound files) or there is something wrong
with the program (sorry, no rebates on this forum, it's only users).

I want to thank all of you for your help but it was none of that. It was something stupid I was doing...lol. I was putting a check mark in "Use first clip as introductory video". Well since I only made one clip that was the wrong thing for me to do. But thanks again and I still may need help in near furture.
