Problem with Videostudio 8
Everytime I try to preview my project, my computer freezes for however long the project is and then unfreezes when the project is over. It never shows a part of the project during the preview but it can preview each individual clip. The video is .avi from my digital camera so maybe that might be the problem but I'm not sure.

Are you previewing it in the preview window? If so, then it is not unusual for this behavior. It is trying to put all the edits, transitions, filters, effects, titles, any changes that you made together, on the fly. It is just a representation of what your project will look like.
However we need more information in order to determine accurately what your problem(s) may be.
