I am using VS7 and considering upgrading to VS9.
In the meantime I have a problem importing sound tracks. It seems that for mp3 soundtracks where the bit rate is not 192kb/s, the length of the track changes dramatically.
e.g. a track normally 4 mins long is over 8 in the timeline.
Is this a known problem, or am I doing something wrong.
Is it something likely to be fixed in VS 9.
MP3 files not importing correctly

Haven't heard this one before!
For instance, I regularly use MP3s in my VS9 background recorded at 128 kbps, and have no trouble. And it certainly sounds counter-intuitive -- if you double the length the playing time, then logically it would mean the resulting file would play at half-speed.
As I just said in another post, though, it appears that some users of Video Studio have trouble with certain MP3 codecs. Changing the audio to .WAV format usually rectifies these problems.
