cutting MSP8 audio....bug?

for some reason, when I clip my audio track, it erases ALL my audio level adjustements I have done on that track. For instance, if I raise, and lower the volume on my audio. Then cut the last 90 seconds or so, it will revert all my audio back to 100%.

Is this a bug? or am I tripping? cuz it is VERY annoying, and it wasn't like this in previous versions. Everytime I try to cut the audio, it drops my changes.

My temporary fix is to DRAG the right side of the audio strip and bring it in. Trimming it that way seems to work, it's just a pain in the butt.

Yeah it is a pain. MSP 6, 7 did not do that. Ihope a fix is coming.
I also would like to see a something like a ALT click on the audio track and drag all the audio on that track up or down.
