Ok, i try a new design-template with the video- and audio-clips inside MSP8 and it works. I see the audio-wave in the timeline and hear it.

Here the discussion in the german-privat-board KLICK-KLICK - Link for my test-template inside.

So i download your new template. The installation works. Copy the uct-File one Folder up and you see it in the Compositor. But i have an error. It is not possible to start the template because it is missing a file.

Don't you see a new "Intro" Category inside the Template Manager?

Copying the uct-File one Folder up isn't sufficient. There should be
a folder with 3 files (mmmmmmm.mpg, nuovo-1.bmp, 00B8A46EF1750ED435887070F4113CDA.dvp)
Search for them and put that folder inside the "uct_plug" dir.

It's strange that the packaged installer points at a wrong dir...

Your CLIK-CLICK :) template installs fine and there aren't audio problems in the timeline.

Edited :

Found the trick :!:

Smart Compositor Designer does not support embedded audio :!:

You have to split your(s) avi/mpeg, save audio and import it into the timeline.

When I expand the exe-file, I have a new folder 00B8A46EF1750ED435887070F4113CDA under the folder uct_plug. There are four files inside the new folder and when I use the smart compositor I see no new directory "intro" - sorry. When I copy the uct_File one step up I see the new directory but it doesn´t work.

Perhaps it is a problem when creating the EXE-File.

Inside of my new template I found a MPA-file and this file contains the audio.

I hope, you understand what I am writing, because I am German and my English is not so good.

Clear like water :)

Do you agree that audio has to be a separated file ?

Here my new intro with audio issue solved:

Please test it and let me know.

Just to know how to share SC templates...

Sorry, but it doesn´t work. It is missing a file.
So I try with your mpv- and bmp-files a own template an use an audio-file, pack it as exe and it works.

For sharing templates use color-pictures. The templates will be small. Later you can change the color-pics and use your own file.

If one cannot share own clips in the SCD "exe" it has no sense sharing the
template... "dvp" files are better and smaller :?

I think there are two ways for sharing:

First for own projects the template can include the dvp-file and the picture and the mvp-file with the "baby".

The second way ist the sharing with other people. I think they doesn´t need the baby because they use there own film. In this case you can use a color-picture as an holder.

Georg the "baby" is just a sample for better know if anyone can use a shared SC template.
You can't translate all "ideas" in color clip holders.

Someone told in this forum "templates to purchase would be great".
I think that sharing "all inclusive" templates would be better.

A web place to collect SC templates would be in "favorites" of many MSP users

Yes, in this case it ist not so good to use a color-clip. Youre right. But I think for sharing a template it is better the file will be small. So have a look on my test-template. It is only 684 kb. So, if you use only a picture of the baby the file will be much smaler than now (5,7 MB) and better for sharing. It is not a must, but than you can send it in an e-mail and not per up- and download.

Just one small question.
Sinse installing the Smart Compositor I don't seem to be able to locate the Ulead supplied Templates anymore. Anyone else had this? Or am I looking in the wrong place?
