Post by rad »

Hey there -Im new here and new to dvd/video editing ect. I just edited a video in ULEAD video studio 8 and want to send it to Workshop to create the chapters & menues, but Im stuck. Cuz I can only save the work in video studio as VSP (video studio project) which workshop can't read...what do I do??

You goto the "Share" tab and select "Create Video File" and ouput it as an mpeg2 file. Then you open that file in Workshop, add your chapters and menus and whatever.

Or you can create an .avi file - with your project in the timeline go to "Share" then "Create Video File" - choose 'Custom' and then against "Save as type" select "Microsoft AVI files" click on 'options' and then .avi (at top) and choose a compression (DV type 1 or 2 or whatever is your choice .) - click OK then give your file a name - click "Save" to render and create an .avi file which you can import to DVD Workshop.

You do know you can create menu's chapters etc. and burn to DVD in UVS8 you do not HAVE to use workshop.

Yes I know I can create the menus etc...but I like to do the "custom" menues & backgrounds which VS8 wont allow.
thanks for your help!

You can do a great deal of menu customisation in VideoStudio - you don't have to use only what is supplied.

I'll check out your site. I like the TEXT menus for my music dvd, where I can list the songs instead of having motion or non-motion menus

thanks for all the tips! :D
