Hey, I'm hoping someone can help me here. I want to do a film stylized as B&W with 1 single vibrant color that shows up. For instance, a woman holding a rose, but the only color that shows up is the RED. (a good example is the movie Sin City) I did a search, and I guess this process is called colorization.
I have a Sony HDV, and am doing a film for my church. Does anyone know how this can be accomplished in Media Studio Pro 8? Or do I need to use a different tool?
Thanks for your help!

In the video editor and with a SIMPLE subject matter with intense colors the Color Pass filter would work, but in complex subjects as you discribe it's likely problematic because passing red would also pass skin tones because they have red in them.
At the affordable end of the software universe I'd use Video Paint, which is part of VideoGraphics Lab. This used to be included in the MSP7 package, but was split off with CG Infinity (a vector titler) as a new product. At the higher end of the food chain tools like Boris and After Effects would be useful.
Watch for another tutorial now that you've given me the idea for one.
I LOVE Sin City
