I have a static menu with an audio track lasting the duration of the music. I have 2 menus (scene-selections) that link to the static menu. I have not found out yet how to implement a RETURN-TO-CALLER menu button; it currently has a BACK button that goes to the first scene-selection menu. This is not intuitive. I also found that I could not use fast-forward or rewind on my DVD remote control to move fast-forward/rewind the music (no-entry sign appears).
If I create a title with a BMP or JPG image and an audio file I can get exactly what I want, fast-forward/rewind and RETURN-TO-CALLER. However, I set my static menu up with DVDWS (text size change, text effect, static images, image overlay and so on) and would like to preserve it. I had hoped I could right-click the menu and do Save To Image (much like in source window of MediaStudio Pro) but I couldn't find such an option.
Is there this feature?
I have tried to use MediaStudio Pro and its titler/overlays to create a similar static menu but am unsure of the necessary settings. I currently have a project as DV-PAL, video compression is None which allows me to set video size as 768x576, I have Frame based, non-square pixel is UNTICKED, once I get everything right in the preview window I right-click and save as image and then paste this image into DVDWS. However, I noticed that 24-point Comic Sans MS is pixelated(?) when saved as image while it is perfect in DVDWS. Am I missing some obvious setting? I do not want to install a photo-editor as I am trying to keep my video editing system as small as possible.
Thanks

I have wanted a similar 'frame grab' feature in DVDWS, but it does not exist. I ended up using a photo-editor and importing it in, which you said you wanted to avoid.
You could create the DVD to disk, then find the mpg file that DVDWS created for your menu. Pull that mpg into your MSP and do a frame grab. Note, however, that mpg is a lossy compression, so you may see some artifacts. Also, remember that a lot of times computer programs will increase the resolution you see on the screen. When it gets truly converted to PAL, some of the edges become jaggy, but are the best you can get on the TV.

Not quite sure what you are asking but I get the impression you have created a Menu to your liking and now wish to keep this menu as a template for future use,
If you right click the thumbnail representation of your menu at the bottom of the screen you have an option to save the menu to the library.
You are then prompted for the particular library you wish to save it to.
