Adding Audio to DVD MF4

Post by haitch »

Hi
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to add more than 1 audio track to a slideshow !!! I have made a slideshow which lasts for about 2 hours,(using MF4) divided into 8 folders..I am trying to add more audio but I can only add one track to each folder.. so I have a 5 min track which repeats itself 4 times during a 20 min folder...

Thanks

Not within MF.
Use an external audio editor to combine your audio files into one wav file
approx equal to the length of the slideshow
or
use the option "Fit Slideshow to Music"for exact timing of the slides after importing the new (long) audio track. (Nice feature).

Hope this helps,

Thanks maddrummer3301
Its a shame you cant add more than one track, I will combine the tracks together... Could you recommend a programme that would allow multiple
audio tracks to be added..

Thanks for your help

There are many programs that can easily do what you want.

Audacity is freeware and a very good program. Compiled for MAC's or x86(windows) and Linux operating systems.
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
Download the Stable version.
To make MP3's with Audacity you will also need to download and install the Lame MP3 encoder (easy to do).
Nero's audio editor.

I do suggest to use either wav format or MP3 standard compression.
Try to stay with one audio format. Wav or MP3 standard.

MF will convert the audio to 16bit 48khz to match the dvd compliancy.
You can export the audio from the audio editor at 16bit 48khz stereo, but
make sure to re-sample the whole audio file before exporting.
That depends on the audio editor being used. MF will convert the
file either way.

Hope this helps,
