My first video attempt using the trial version. All goes well until I try to burn. Process stops while rendering title. I can however under share create an MPEG2 file then burn this with the trial version of MovieFactory.
Is burnning a limitation on the trial version?
The project uses a single video file captured from Sony Cam. Size is 1.97gig. The MPEG2 file is 1.6gig before burnning. Seams odd that it is smaller after adding sound and still image overlays. The finish DVD runs about 38min. Of cource I did not follow Recommended Procedures since I found this site after starting the project.
I have also seen several postings on Amazon reveiws about crashes. This is also a concern if I plan to purchase.
Any suggestions?

Hi RR
First of all follow the recommended procedure.
In short you should
1/ capture
2/ edit
3/ create a video file (share create video file)
4/ use the new file to burn disc. (make sure your project settings match your video file settings)
If you are capturing to Mpeg files, where possible try to keep your settings the same from capture to burn.
Select DVD as your capture format not mpeg.
During the burn procedure you should not re-render, if you see the info window—this action will take some time to render---then your settings are incorrect.
As for the file sizes being different it is probably the bit rate settings used. Your capture settings being different to the create video file.
Right click the clips in the library or timeline and select properties.(compare the two properties)
Hope this helps
