two movies and a data file
Is there any way to put two short movies and a data folder (contains documents and photos) on a dvd so that the movies play as well on a standalone as they do on a computer? I realize a computer will have to be used to access the data folder. TIA

Read this thread:
After you create dvd folders on the harddisk you simply add them
in the burning stage to the Nero compilation.
Or, in MF4 there is an option to include a data folder for data files.

Hope this helps,

In MF4 when your ready to burn the dvd in the output creation module (last step).
Click on the down arrow on the right to display additional burning options.
You will see create dvd folder (a file and directory image on the harddisk same as on the dvd, except it's on the harddisk).
Uncheck "Burn the disk" and check "Create dvd folders" etc.
The option to add a folder is only when you burn the disk.
It's under the one of the bottom icons for burner options.
You could check all 3 burning selections I think, never tried it.
Or, after the VIDEO_TS folder is created on the harddisk open up Nero 6.
New -> select DVD -> Dvd-Video.
Then do as the other post says.
In the compilation screen of nero you can add folders next to the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder (you don't need the audio_ts folder).
Hope this helps,

Madrunner........I'm a little closer I think.
So many bugs and not enough time to erridicate them all!
Had problems with Nero bugs, then finally was able to add the two videos and make working DVD but couldn't figure out how to add data files.then tried MV 4 and there was a bug importing one of the videos from hard drive, then tried it from dvd in the dvd drive and it worked,, then added the other video then the data files and am buring as I write this. I will let you know how this works.
